Low-emissivity glass (or Low-E glass as it is commonly referred to) is a type of energy-efficient glass designed to stop the escape of heat through your windows to the cold outdoors.

The glass has improved solar and thermal performance properties, achieved by applying a low emissivity (Low E) coating to the glass.

This reduces the amount of ultraviolet and infrared light that passes through the glass and does so without compromising the amount of visible light being transmitted.

Low-e glass has an invisible coating which significantly reduces heat transfer and returns interior heat back into your room.

Low-e glass is commonly used for rooms or buildings with a high proportion of windows or glass doors, such as conservatories and sun rooms.

The use of Low-E glazing helps to retain heat even in winter, allowing you to comfortably use these rooms for more months of the year.
